Which Weight Loss Diet is Best for You?
There are so many weight loss diets and weight loss plans to choose from.
How do you decide which weight loss plan is best for you?
Answer: the diet that says Yes to these three questions:
1. Will This Weight Loss Diet Teach Me to Eat Right in the Long Term?
Any diet or weight loss product that doesn’t teach you how to improve your eating habits is not going to solve your weight problem.
So ignore fad diets, single-food diets, unbalanced diets, liquid diets, high protein diet plans, very-low-calorie diets, food-combining plans, diet pills, weight loss supplements and so-called ‘fat-burning’ or ‘fat-loss’ supplements. Even though weight loss surgery may be useful if medically recommended, it can’t improve your eating habits.
2. Is This Weight Loss Diet Something I Can Follow for the Rest of My Life?
Any diet plan or weight loss program that offers a short-term solution to your weight problem is not likely to lead to permanent weight loss.
So ignore fasting diets, 3-day diets, 14-day diets, liquid diets, high protein diets, very-low-calorie diets and the like.
Note: There is No Quick-fix Answer to a Weight Problem
Weight gain usually occurs over a period of years. Successful weight loss is faster but it takes months rather than weeks. So quit trying to lose weight fast and aim for slow steady weight loss, instead.
Diet pills and ‘magical’ diet supplements may sound tempting but they don’t lead to real weight loss. At best, they lead to rapid loss of water (not fat). At worst, they lead to increased weight gain, yo-yo dieting, a slow metabolism, depression and obesity!
3. Does This Weight Loss Diet Offer Sensible Advice on Exercise?
Dietary modification and regular exercise go together like man and wife. Long term weight control is not possible if either is absent.
Diet Program answers Yes to all three questions.
This doesn’t make it the only effective diet plan you can buy, but it does mean that it tackles the realweight loss issues and does lead to long term weight loss.
A Note about Healthy Weight Control
Fad diets, unbalanced diets, diet pills, diet supplements, weight loss surgery and other short term weight loss methods are not recommended for permanent weight control. The best way to lose excess fat and maintain a healthy weight in the long term is to follow a balanced calorie-controlled diet (that improves your eating habits) and take regular aerobic exercise.
