Weight Cycling

Does Weight Cycling Damage My Health?

A recent study published by the American College of Cardiology shows that weight cycling raises the risk of heart disease and heart attacks in women.

It seems that weight cycling reduces HDL cholesterol in the blood, which is bad news since HDL cholesterol is one of the main protective factors against heart disease.

Long term weight cycling may also result in nutrient deficiencies which can, in turn, lead to ill-health.
