Cholesterol, Heart Disease and Weight Loss
If your total blood cholesterol is 200-239 mg/dL you are in the borderline high risk category. About 1 in 3 Americans fall into this category. If your serum cholesterol level is 240 or more, you are in the high risk category, with typically twice the risk of heart attack as those people with a cholesterol level of 200 mg/dL or less. About 1 in 5 Americans are in this high risk category. If large deposits of cholesterol build up on your artery walls, blood flow can become completely blocked. If this happens inside an artery that supplies blood to the heart, you may suffer a heart attack. Fortunately, losing weight automatically reduces the risk of heart attacks.
If you want to lose weight and you have a history of heart disease in your family, I strongly recommend my Cholesterol Diet Plan.
My Cholesterol Diet Improves Heart Health
My Cholesterol Diet reduces your cholesterol levels, improves your heart health and normalizes your weight at the FASTEST possible speed. Every meal in the diet is accompanied by its calorie, total-fat, saturated-fat and cholesterol content. The diet is low in fat and rich in dietary fiber, especially soluble fiber.
Note: The cholesterol and fat values in my Cholesterol-Lowering Diet are based on recommendations from: (1) The National Cholesterol Education Program’s Expert Panel on Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Cholesterol in Adults, or ATP III; (2) The American Heart Association.
