Atkins Diet Suggests Avoiding Fruit To Lose Weight. Is This Wise?

Most dietitians will almost certainly agree with me when I say that fruits (of all types) are wonderful foods – not because they have any magical fat-burning properties, but because they are crammed with nutrition.

Fruits were wonderful a thousand years ago, and will be in another thousand years. The same applies to other complex carbs.

High protein diets are really no more than a gimmick. Let’s face it, if eating protein helps to lose weight, why is the No 1. protein-eating nation in the world (America) so overweight? By comparison, countries with minimal protein (Third World) are (if anything) underweight.
