- As fluid retention can be a problem at this time drink plenty of water, fruit and vegetable juices, reduce your intake of caffeine and salt.

- Include plenty of fruit, vegetables and salads in your daily diet.
Importance of Exercise
Exercise is vital for weight control during menopause. Like it or not, our bodies do slow down as we get older so we need to stay active. Exercise increases our metabolism and helps to burn off stored fat. Also, it increases the proportion of muscle to fat in our bodies which is good for our weight as muscles need more calories than fat.
