What is Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

Defined by one expert as “metabolic by-products resulting from the conversion of linoleic acid to oleic acid by rumen bacteria”, CLA is a naturally occurring compound found mainly in meat and dairy foods. For best weight loss results it needs to be ingested in quantity, via supplements.

CLA affects enzymes and typically reduces the rate at which the body deposits fat. CLA also tends to increase lean tissue formation which boosts metabolism.

CLA Can Help Weight Loss

After weight loss and exercise tests, reported in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the American Chemical Society declared that CLA can help people to lose weight and improve their muscle/fat ratio.
