  • If typically inactive, multiply your current weight in pounds by 13.

Example

Mary weighs 200 pounds and leads a typically inactive life.
Her daily calorie needs are about 200 x 13 = 2600 calories.

Note: This is the number of calories Mary needs to maintain her current weight.
