I wrote a lengthy post over on HARDBODY.com about the changes in NPC fitness and figure. If you’re a competitor in the NPC take a look at the changes. Well, if you’re a figure or fitness competitor take a look.
If you have any questions feel free to email me or post them up here as it can be a little confusing.
I competed in the recent INBA Natural Universe on November 3, 2007 held in Venice, CA.
I previously won a pro-qualifier in San Antonio, TX on October 13th, 2007 in both Figure and Bikini Diva and second in Model Search. These were my very first competitions to enter. At the Universe, competitors were there from all over the U.S. and even world. It was very large and it took several hours to get through the pre-judging.

I learned one lesson that I will not forget: Pre-judging is more important than the evening show, so go all out! I placed 5th in Figure, 2nd in Bikini Diva, and 3rd in Model Search.

The INBA is a great organization and have made me feel like part of the family since day one. They test per WADA standards and you at least feel you are on a level playing field.
I will always compete with them because I feel Bikini type of classes are my strong point. For Figure I need a lot more muscle to win a big contest. Next year I am going to enter at least 3 contest with the INBA.

I am always open to other contest and my long term goal is to win Miss Bikini Universe. I just started my BodySpace profile last week after using the forum, articles, and buying all my supplements from Bodybuilding.com (I have proof: Look at my credit card bill!) I plan on launching a website next month just for fun!

I ran across this article today from a Barbados newspaper. Is this a good idea or are these tots too young? Many shows have started Jr. Fitness so why not Jr. Bodybuilding? This article paints it as nothing but a positive experience for these youngsters.
WHAT THEY LACKED in muscle, they certainly made up for with big hearts.

The tiny tots, a category of the Sunshine Cereals and Gatorade Mr Schoolboy Bodybuilding and Miss Fitness Championships, put in some gutsy performances before a packed Lester Vaughan School hall on Friday evening.
First up were three Tiny Tot girls, who flexed and danced much to the delight of fans. Michelle Willoughby placed fourth, Shonnia Smith second, and Cya Layne, third.
The Tiny Tot boys drew even more applause, as the little guys posed their hearts out for cheering mums and dads in the audience. One by one they came on stage with their game faces on, ready to do battle, in the free posing routine. The audience loved it.
Addio Jones was declared the winner after the dust had settled, and Azizi Alleyne, who rocked the house with an entertaining performance, placed second.
Asantia Brathwaite of Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary was the pick of the Junior girls with a routine that showed off her dancing and flexibility, and Shaquille Lavine was the clear winner of the Junior boys, with outstanding abdominals and smooth posing. He also won Best Poser and Most Muscular. (DA)

After coming West from her win in Miami and getting her WNSO Pro status, our BodySpace star Ava Cowan has scored another big win in Los Angeles. A great attitude, a knockout body and looking just beautiful, Ava took the Figure title at Figure Hollywood. And more than anyyone else by a long way, the crowd just loved her. No one came even close, not only in the judging, but also in the applause and and the fans chanting “AVA” “AVA” “AVA”. It was a big win for Ava Cowan…

I was there and it was fun! Thanks and keep coming back if you "Wanna See More…?"
